Upgrade from 1.9.0 to 2.2.0

Can someone tell me, what is the best approach to upgrade to 2.2.0.

My plan would be:

1.9.0 ➡️ 1.9.6 ➡️ 2.0.0 ➡️ 2.1.0 ➡️ 2.2.0

The upgrade to 1.9.6 (from 1.9.0) already failed once. So I would like to make sure, that I am following the correct upgrade path.

Also I do have issues, when using the UI when upgrading. All the steps do get mixed up.

hey so it's a nice path, tho i would recommend going also to 1.9.5 and run the migrate command on all versions

also remember to do backups

Now I tried to upgrade from 1.9.0 to 1.9.5 but it failed as well. The migration fails so badly that the whole VM is unresponsive. I am unable to identify the issue because I can't access the logs.

A couple of issues I have:

• .env get's modified with " for the values which leads to maria DB issue regarding the authentication.

Is there a possibility to be independent from the Migration UI?

yes, also iirc, the web installer had issue where it escaped some characters in the env which caused issues for some installs
